Hey yo! It’s Wednesday, time to get all remix-y…

Remix Wednesdays on

First up, we have a fantastic new remix of Passion Pit‘s “Take a Walk” by Classixx! A slow and building tune, the synths breath in and out of an ominous bass line, leading the vocals out of hiding and throwing them in front of the procession. Personally, I think this tune runs laps around the original, but hey, that’s just me. Press play below and take a swim in the chilled out pool of groove that Classixx built.

Next up, we have the disco-infused groover of Tony Romera & Jordan Viviant‘s “Alive“, remixed by Bit Funk! Deep grooves and solid pianos highlight this pulsing track. Atmospheric vocal effects layer the path as the soulful vocals collide with the keys, creating a serenity and calmness, without the drowsy after effects. If you like your grooves soulful and your piano’s full of reverb, check this one out.

And to finish up today, we have another outstanding remix by Vinjette, this time of Urban Cone‘s “Deja Vu“! Sparse steel drum strikes liter the air with melody as the vocals come rolling over the hills, and then the bouncing synths join the party, and it all create some sort of winter-y, yet bright composition of sounds, that is wholy inviting, to say the least. Not rushed, but hardly subdued, this remix is perfect for early morning car rides and long afternoons. Enjoy.

Until next time,
