And to finish out the week, we have the new song from Herve and Ronika. Featuring minature versions of both artists, this is a dancefloor-ready track with smooth synts and that one-of-a-kind Ronika touch.

Today, a rather somber edition of our usual Friday fare, as we celebrate the life and music of Adam Yauch, better known as MCA, 1/3rd of the Beastie Boys, and well, a huge inspiration on me.

So, instead of the usual jam-packed video throwdown, I'm going to play some of my favorite Beastie Boys videos.
I grew up listening to the Beastie Boys, and they were truly an inspiration, not only in music, but in style, presentation, and delivery. As Chromeo so succinctly put it, "The Beastie Boys basically invented the concept of the cool white person".
We got some good ones today, starting off with the new single from Rufus!
Rufus - This Summer
A dark and torrid tune/video, building upon a thumping bass line, sweeping into the reverberated vocal melody. Basically, this video perfectly fits the mood of the tune, which looks to be a 12-year-old's parents worst nightmare, or the best time of their lives...just like a good video should.
Now this video, which starts off as a duo of break-dancing wolves confront a girl on a lonely road. Turns out, the girl can ALSO dance, and we have ourselves a DANCE OFF. Good times? Indeed.
