And for a super happy Friday, we would like to showcase the new video from Goldroom, and his single “Only You Can Show Me” featuring the lovely Mereki. Besides being an super disco summer time jam, the video is pretty damn cool. It’s well shot, and fits the music perfectly. Solid grooves with solid tunes…hard to go wrong!
This week, we have videos from Telephoned, The Presets, and Philosophy of Sound!
First up, easily one of my FAVORITE songs of the year so far, is Telephoned and their single “Last Time“, out now on Fools Gold. This disco/funk burner is full of smiles and swings, and even a few cameos from Sammy Bananas! I mean, if this doesn’t put you in a good mood, I’m not sure what else will. Besides pizza. And a real life unicorn. Or maybe like an ice cream sandwich, I don’t know you that well. Either way, jam this one on out.
Telephoned – Last Time
Up next, we turn to the darker side of things for a fantastically stark video for “Ghosts” by The Presets! The new single from their excellent album, “Pacifica“, we find the Lads from Down Under jamming on keys, and some divers, and a good amount of spinning. Yeah, a little weird, but also a little AWESOME. Enjoy this jam.

And to finish up for the week, we have a smooth disco anthem from Philosophy of Sound, entitled “Fragile Disco”, out now on Beatport. Scenes of analog and digital instruments blend together to form a solid backdrop for this tune. Hints of 80′s synth bleed into bouncing keys and minimal yet superbly effective funk guitar to form a sweet mid song groove. Part rave, part dark dance hall, but all groovy, this video serves as an excellent accompaniment to the tune. JAM!
First up, we have the brand new video from the ever-growing Two Door Cinema Club, “Sleep Alone“! A twisted tale of demonic guitars and chase scenes set the mood for this jam, where we found the TDCC boys running for their lives. In any case, its a super catchy song, and you can watch it now too!

Next up, we have the rising comet of a band, Poolside, and their video for “Only Everything“! With a really cool concept and an even better song, its a hard combination to beat. Dancing animals, dreams of the future, and a tropical beat that gives you all the support you need.

And last for the week, we have the video for Saint Lou Lou‘s “Maybe You”! We featured a really awesome remix last week, and the video plays a stylish love letter to the future. Stark and simple, with deep range of emotional contrast, this video fits perfectly with the song, allowing you to really “feel” it. Slow, somber yet powerful, its a tune for lonely mornings and long afternoons in the rain….or just right now Enjoy!

First up, we have the awesome/spectacular/wondrous new single/video from Hot Chip, “How Do You Do?“! A fantastically groovy song off a fantastically groovy album, it’s almost a non-surprise, how amazing their latest album is. Really happy this was the second single off of In Our Heads. A little weird, a little bit of dancing, and a whole lot of goodness!

Next up, we have the new video from Theme Park, “Jamaica“! Given the name, the summer feeling/vibe is just oozing out of this track. This song is perfect for long day drives, sitting with your feet in the sand, or just enjoying a sun-filled day, this is your jam. Filled with stylishly picked guitars and flourishing bass lines, I see big things ahead for this group. Similar to Two Door Cinema Club or New Navy, but a little more subdued, Theme Park is gearing up for some serious action. Stay tuned.

And bringing it all back home, is Tame Impala, and their EXCELLENT new track “Elephant“! Tripped out guitars, spacey interludes, and a groove all its own, this track JAMS. A little different than the usual faire on the “Wild World“, but you know me, I’m always trying to keep you on your toes. ENJOY!
